PRIVACY & HIPAA Policy

Our policy with regards to HIPAA (the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) revolves around the fact that at Bronx Abortion our patients are our reason for being.  

To that end, we believe our patients have the right to privacy and that their nonpublic personal, financial, and health information should be kept confidential.

Our belief in your right to privacy is not new.  

However, new laws require we notify you about our privacy policy concerning:

What kind of personal information we collect about you and how we obtain it?

How we use your personal information?

What kind of personal information about you we release to other companies?

How we protect your personal information?

This privacy notice is provided to help you better understand how we protect your nonpublic personal, financial, and health information.

We will comply with the provisions of this Agreement relating to privacy and security of Protected Health Information and all present and future provisions of HIPAA that relate to the privacy and security of Protected Health Information. In addition, we agree to comply with all applicable laws governing the privacy, security and confidentiality of protected health information, to the extent such state laws are not preempted by HIPAA.  

  1.   We agreto use appropriate safeguardto prevent use or disclosure of the Protected Health Information.
  2.  We will continue to maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Electronic Protected Health Information.


We protect your nonpublic personal, financial, and health information in this manner even after our interaction with you as a patient  has ended.
